SCHOOLS

Our Mission

Our mission is to equip children with the social and emotional skills necessary to cultivate meaningful relationships, promote emotional resilience, and navigate the complexities of social dynamics. Our program is founded on the belief that social and emotional growth is essential to a child's overall development and well-being , and aims to provide children with the tools to thrive within and beyond their communities.

Other specific objectives include:

  • Develop key social skills such as emotional regulation, active listening, collaborative problem-solving, and empathy.

  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where neurodivergent and neurotypical children can learn together.

  • To offer a gamified, non-intrusive learning experience that resembles a game while providing measurable development benefits.

  • Boost participants' self-confidence by celebrating their unique contributions and strengthening their bonds.

  • Provide teachers, parents, and therapists with qualitative observations that help them better support children's development.

How can schools help us in this mission?

Schools are in a unique position to identify students who could benefit most from these types of programs. However, time and resource constraints often prevent them from addressing each case with the depth they would like. This is where we come in. Our program not only transforms children's lives but also directly impacts the educational environment , improving academic performance, strengthening the school community, and facilitating the work of teachers.

The support and collaboration of schools and institutes, along with that of families, makes it easier for us to form groups . This way, we are able to find children with similar interests and concerns , whose areas of growth are compatible and provide positive feedback. This is key given the social nature of our program.

Socio-Emotional Programs in the Educational Environment

Since 2024, we have been implementing this program in Portland, United States, where programs like ours are integrated into a larger ecosystem of programs, grouped under the name SEL (Socio Emotional Learning Programs).

SEL programs have been exponentially adopted across American schools and colleges as a response to the challenges of our time: the impact of screens on children's socialization; the adverse effects of reduced face-to-face interactions due to the pandemic; the loneliness and isolation resulting from the erosion of the social fabric in modern society; and the rising rates of neurodivergence in the population, among others.

Because these programs have been implemented for more than five decades in the United States, there is an extensive bibliography of books and scientific studies, meta-analyses, and other public and private reports examining their impact.

Hundreds of studies involving more than one million students worldwide, from preschool through high school, demonstrate that SEL has a positive impact on student academic achievement:

They are a good investment for our families and communities. Analysis of six SEL programs showed that the benefits far outweigh the costs, estimating that for every dollar invested in SEL, there is a return of $11:

They contribute to reducing aggression and bullying:

They improve young people's ability to cope with their emotions, which can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety in the short term:

The positive effects on academic achievement last long-term: Years after students participated in an SEL program, their academic achievement was an average of 13 percentage points higher than that of students who did not participate:
